Haute Culture Textile Tours commissioned this illustration series and GIF of outfits of the ethnic minority villages they visit during their Vietnam Textile Tour to promote the 2019 edition.

Having been a tour participant myself on the Northern Thailand tour in December 2018, and currently living in Vietnam I have been lucky enough to meet some of these women in person and visit some of the same ethnic minority groups in Thailand, witnessing their expert precision embroidery, incredible batik patterns and indigo dyeing, beading and many other techniques first hand.

These illustrations were digitally drawn from photos of the women who lead the workshops themselves, sharing their skills with generosity and patience to the travellers seeking to learn new ones.
